Hello, my name is Andrew Jara. I am trying to be a writer/director. I made a film named "Last Days" that i'm trying to bring some press to.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Listen media I don’t care about Boston reality shows unless you are robbing banks or involve some kind of Affleck or walhberg
Damn it was like Affleck was talking straight to me. Thanks andrew for watching the town, and talking in a Boston accent for three years. This is for you!
When the academy was asked why Ben didn’t get nominated for best director, they said “I didn’t like the kid…”
Plot: A CIA agent must fake making a movie to free six Americans that are trapped during the Iranian revolution.
Review: Anyone who knows me knows I love The Town. I thought that film was amazing and saw it like 6 times in the theaters. But I was worried Affleck, who directed and starred in The Town and does the same here, could only make movies centered around Boston. Well Argo has proven me wrong and has cemented Affleck as one of our best directors working right now. For Argo, he takes us back to the late 70s to tell this tense thriller about trying to free hostages. The thing is Affleck doesn’t go for the easy route, you never hear any gun fire, and he doesn’t turn the Iranians into villains. It’s a bunch of people in a bad situation. The movie is still tense though and it’ll keep you on the edge until the end of the film. Affleck also knows how to instill humor without losing tension. John Goodman and Alan Arkin turn in great performances as the Hollywood men who help Affleck out. They give the funniest performance and have a great scene in the climax to keep them in the story. I think Affleck’s ace in the hole is that he knows how to use Ben Affleck. Here he is shown more as the audience type, taking us through the story and giving us a blank slate to follow so it’s easier to take the crazy locations and situations we are in. This is a complete 180 from his performance in the Town and shows exactly what Affleck can do. He seems to understand story so well that you are amazed throughout the film. I recommend everyone seeing this film as it will probably end up as my favorite film of the year.
Trivia: Affleck shot the film on regular film and blew it up to make the movie feel more like the 1970s.
