Hello, my name is Andrew Jara. I am trying to be a writer/director. I made a film named "Last Days" that i'm trying to bring some press to.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Plot: Aliens attack Hawaii during Navy Games.
Review: Now I was completely prepared to hate this film. It looked like it took itself very seriously, without a bit of fun. I was very wrong. This is what the first Transformers wanted to be. It’s a fun, exciting action film for the whole family. It never once goes into a cheap area to get laughs and I really liked that. Taylor Kitsch brings the same star-power that he brought to John Carter but is in a much more fun relaxed role and it suits him well. I really hope that Riggins becomes the star we want him to be. Texas forever. The plot is really simple and doesn’t try to over-complicate itself. (again, looking at you transformers) More importantly I never had to get over major plot points. Keeping it simple helped to keep it from being dumb so it made me enjoy it more. Granted if I was in the military or knew anything about naval ships, maybe I would have been mad but I don’t so I’m not. They also give proper respect to veterans and actual navy personnel (they played almost all of the extras) without it feeling like a commercial for service. The only problem I had was that sometimes when they had to tie it back to the board game it made you feel silly. (The alien bullets look like the pegs from the game.) But it’s meant to be fun and hopefully you are having fun with it at the point. Overall a good film.
Trivia: Jeremy Renner was originally cast as Alex Hopper before Taylor Kitsch took over.
